Sharon Yvonne Stone is the sole daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee in a manufacturing plant. Her birth date was 10 March 1958in Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her 3 siblings. Stone started second grade when she was just five. She was considered to be gifted in the academic area. She was a graduate of Saegertown High School in Saegertown, Pennsylvania, in 1975. She was crowned Miss Crawford County, she was also a part of the Miss Pennsylvania Beauty Pageant. Stone as well as her aunt relocated out of New Jersey to New Jersey in order to pursue a career as a model in 1977. The two signed on with an agency called the Ford Modeling Agency after a few months. In Europe she was able to spend a whole year in Milano and Paris. Stone became dissatisfied with the model market in Europe but decided to concentrate on acting. The film of Woody Allen, "Stardust Memories", got mixed praise when she was 20.
